Stress Less Challenge Day 2

What's Happening on Day 2

Day 2 dives into how to build resilience physically. Moms I know you love to take action.

It's also one of the reasons families with kids on the spectrum have extra stress.

Moms feel like they are the nurturers and healers of the home. Full transparency, we feel this way because we are.

Nothing is more stressful than a child in the middle of a 1-hour meltdown and that feeling of complete disempowerment and helplessness.

Or a child that's sick with a virus with nothing we can do but watch and wait.

Did you know that lowering stress supports the prevention of sickness because lowering stress supports a healthy immune system?

But often we worry so much it leaves us in cortisol crisis mode every time we start seeing the triggers and behaviors leading up to a meltdown or illness.

Sometimes we may not even realize our anxiety around this alone can cause a meltdown.

So on day 2 let's explore how to be empowered in building resilience (aka reducing stress) which will help us to become less traumatized by stressful situations and the PTSD we all know comes with the severe spectrum.

Truly imagine how it would feel to turn to your child and know that the chest tightness you expect is released and replaced with a feeling of openness and wonder.

It's possible, my friend and it can happen to you.
